Garden Verbena (Verbena x hybrida) is a totally hybrid plant that has the huge advantage of blooming all summer, offering many colors - sometimes variegated - that go from white to violet through purple, pink or red.
It does not generally withstand winter, so it is grown rather as an annual, but if winter is mild, it can resist.
Its leaves are finely cut and are rather dark green. Verbena is found either in a drooping port or in an upright port: in both cases, its appearance is rather compact with a dense flowering. It is the beauty of flower poties, flower beds and planters balconies.... with a small competition of geranium!
